When one thing leads to another...
Back in December, I decided to finally have my copper pots retinned. After research and careful consideration, I chose East Coast Tinning to care for my much loved cookware. The box arrived just before Christmas and when I eagerly opened it I felt as if I had snuck into my parents gift-hiding place and opened what I had asked for. Gasp! They looked like brand new pots, gleaming rich in copper sheen. I unpacked them all and displayed them on the stove returning to the kitchen every few minutes to enjoy the newness.
Once the excitement eased, I realized I didn't want to stash them away in the pot cabinet but they could not live on the stove top. I needed a pot rack. My husband, Ed, and I measured and sketched and discussed height (so we wouldn't walk into the hanging pots) and visibility (so the pots wouldn't create too much distraction). We selected the best spot and Dad and I took the measurements to the shop.
Forged from 1/2 inch solid steel with leaf detail on the mounting pieces, the rack works perfectly with our hand made "s" hooks to display the copper pots as well as a few cast iron AND our new egg spoon which will be our next blog feature.
And, of course, the pot rack is available made-to-order with your specific measurements and mounting detail requests.
