Leonard Mygatt and Amy Mygatt Hogan

Amy Mygatt Hogan spent many years watching and listening to her father, Leonard Mygatt, The Iron Artisan, create beautiful items from wood and metal. With a desire to spend more time with him, Amy asked her father to teach her his trade. After several years of working together, they realized they were making items that could be quite useful to others. They both valued the creative process and making items that will last while also being aesthetically pleasing.

In October of 2023, Leonard peacefully passed away. Amy, along with her sibilngs and Mother, were present and felt blessed to be able to hold the space and honor their father. Since then, Amy has carried on with the business. She feels his presence in all of the tools she inherited and continues to craft items wiith their original philosophies in mind. She will always be the Iron Artisan’s daughter.
